During World War II it was a common practice for young airmen to name their
planes after the girls, places and things they left behind. Some were named
after hit songs of the time and almost all featured a pin up girl.
It was their way of somehow keeping a connection to the world they once knew.
Now overseas and facing death on a daily basis, they adorned their bombers
and fighters with such names as Shoo Shoo Baby, Shedonwonna, I'll Get By,
Barbara Jean, Dinahmight, Hellzappopin, Island Queen, Damifino, Crater
Maker, Pistol Packin Mama, Rubys Ricksha.
Ack Ack Designs brings these planes back to their glory days with our authentic
reproduction Nose Art Panels.  Choose from one of our designs or let us create
one of yours, either way we know you will be pleased.
Ack Ack Designs also features hand painted leather squadron patches framed
and matted or you can purchase them separate for your A-2 jacket. If we
don't have a particular squadron or group patch that you are looking for send us
the information and we will produce it for you, just give us a call! We also hand
paint A-2 jackets.
